My son has asked for a drum set for months and months. When I found this I was thrilled because of the price (many are very expensive). It is a great set and he loves to "jam". He really bangs on it, so one of the drums can detach or the cymbal "fall" a off. BUT it is easy to assemble and we even glued a piece over the cymbal so it would stop flying off, worked like a charm. Great buy!!!

This drum set looks much nicer than it actually is. The sides of the drums are actually just cardboard. [$] My child does like it and likes the electronic features. I can't imagine it fitting the age range noted. My child is 4 and I can't imagine that at 5 or 6 she would still be playing it.

I returned this product unopened because it was not appropriate for a six year old for whom it was purchased, even though he was included in the age limit on the product. It probably would have been great for a younger, smaller child as a toy.
