My 4 (almost 5) year old daughter received this set for Christmas hasn't put it aside or gotten bored with it yet, and it's March! She loves the numerous dresses and even the dolls. Yeah, their hair gets frazzled, but she doesn't care. Their heads pop off sometimes but she can put them back on easily. We bought the set mainly for the dresses which come crushed and mashed inside a tiny box . . . DO iron them! They look so much better and it even makes them softer. One dress was too small for "Barbie" size dolls, but fit "Skipper" beautifully. The tiny beaded necklaces that all three dolls wear broke within 3 days, but their earrings seem permanently attached to their heads. The set also comes with a stiff veil and a flower bouquet. She's 5, and adores this playset. Some of the dresses have frayed a little or the clear plastic straps have broken, but that's because my girl is rough with them... but hey -- they're meant to be played with, not collector's items! We love it!

I purchased this set for my 4-year-old daughter for Christmas. [...]The dresses are not particularly well-made; in fact, one of them (the purple one, which would otherwise have been the favorite) does not fit on any of the dolls. Furthermore, the strap on one dress broke as my daughter was attempting to remove the dress from a doll. In examining the overall workmanship of the set, I admit to wondering under what factory conditions these dolls and dresses were made. The dolls themselves are more strangely proportioned even than Barbie and their long hair tangled into horrible knots after minimal play.For the price paid, I was not expecting collector-quality goods; however, given the caliber of other toys offered in the Back to Basics catalog I was expecting a nicer product. My daughter likes the set, but it has only been one day since she opened the package and we have two unusable dresses and three incredibly tangled heads of hair. Overall, I'm disappointed with this set.

This is a great value. The dolls are better quality than I thought they would be. They come scrunched in a rather small box..so I took it all out and steamed the dresses (very wrinkled). Can't come close to getting all those dresses for this price from Mattel..I recommend..can't wait to give to my daughter for Christmas

We bought these dolls for my five-year-old for Christmas, and then for my four-year-old for her birthday. They both love stripping the dolls, ruining their hair, and cooing over the lovely dresses! (That means they're a hit.) They can play princesses all day and the only con is "Mommy, I can't get her shoes on" and Mommy picking up (or vacuuming up) said shoes. :) Great value for what they are used for!

I replaced them with barbie dolls so the clothes don't fall apart, the shoes fit and we can fix the dolls hair.

This has been a great set of dolls. My 4 year old loves them! And while she still needs a little help dressing them, she loves changing their dresses. And I love the imaginative play they create. I also like that they are a little less "done up" than the typical Barbie.
