We have purchased two of these ponies now. The first we gave our granddaughter for her first birthday. Six months later she still loves it and rides "miles and miles" every day with squeals of delight. The second one is for our grandson who is turning one soon.

We purchased this for our grandson's first birthday and I think we should have waited a while. He did not become interested it until his feet could touch the floor when he was on it. I think he was scared. Maybe if your child is more daring it could be used earlier. He loves it now that he has grown enough to put his feet down if he feel unsteady..its only been a few months so we are happy overall.
