My mom sent this to my four-year old for her birthday, and it is a huge hit not only with her, but with my seven and nine year old daughters too! They all love playing, singing, and dancing along to the built in music. The sounds are pleasant and not like other electronic toys which you can't wait until the batteries run out.

My parents bought the piano for my 2.5 years old son after a thorough research, and I am convinced that they made a very good choice, especially considering the price. The sound is good, the 3-octave size impressive and the overall size small enough. The additional sounds are useful (the other instruments are represented by buttons with the instruments' shapes. Clever!). It is a good piano. But I have a few things that I think should be improved.
1) First of all - the on/off button starts with a on and off tunes. It is cute, but there has to be an option of a regular on/off with no music. The on-music distract the little one from creating his own music. The off button can start on its own after a while (to save batteries), but then we are surprised and distracted by the off music! I would also design the on/off button to be clealy different than any of the other buttons.
2) Record button: Has a red light when it is on, and is located right next to the on/off button. My son, who is stil very young, is attracted to the record button for its light, and again gets distracted from the main purpose of playing.
3) There are several other applications as the 'play right' and others tha I need to explore myself, but it would help to have a manual that describes these features..
4) Playing cords: for some reason, when I play a cord (C-E-G) the C shifts to some other dissonant tone.
5) The stool - we are not using at all. It seems too small, and we have an alternative.

But back to the beginning - I love the piano.

It was purchased for my 4 yr. old grandson, who loves music, and he plays with it a lot. It has been very durable. It has great music built into it, and he has his favorites that he plays constantly. He also loves the different rhythms. It has a good variety of sounds and rhythms, and the microphone is a big hit with him.

My daughter is only 3, so she really just plays around on it, but it is great. Love the different instrument sounds, the microphone and the automatic off feature.

The only "con" is that the hollow, plastic legs are too flimsy. It can tip over easily.

My 4 year old twins love to dance to the music that is already recorded on the piano and the enjoy playing around with it, as do I. The price is low for such a quality "toy."

My 3 year old loves to sit at this piano and sing and play! We all take turns singing on the mic while she plays! When her friends are visiting they love to play and sing, too! It has a lovely melodic sound! I highly recommend it! The pre-recorded songs are pretty! It's more fun to use than just a piano and it has a better sound than most keyboards.

My 4 year old loves it! She will sit and play and sing into the microphone and make up songs. It is also stylish and not bright "kid" colors, so it looks really cute next to our drum set. It was an excellent purchase at that price.
