This is perfect for our 22 month old daughter, who loves latches. She is able to open a door and put things inside then open another door and find it.

            Comments about Lock Box:

I bought this for my two-year old son who, like his father, loves all things mechanical. He mastered the locks quickly but still enjoys opening and closing the doors, hiding things inside, etc. It probably would've been a perfect toy for him at 18 months (i.e. a bit more challenging, harder to master the individual locks). The only drawback is its weight--it's quite heavy for a very young child and I worry that he'll drop it on his foot! Also, the handle is a bit thin and very smooth--more texture might offer a better grip. It's quite well made, though, very sturdy. And I love that it sports REAL locks; my son loves real things like cell phones and remotes but doesn't show as much interest in play/plastic things. All the locks worked well. I imagine that this toy will hold up well and think that it was a good investment.
