I expected the instrument to be in tune. Going up the scale, some of the bells are not in proper tune. For my pre-school class, it is a nice instrument because of the size and the durability of the wood.

This was a gift to my 3-1/2 year old grandson, who is very musically inclined. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a true musical scale, so he can just pound on it, but not make music
