I had purchased the saxaphone & the trumpet of this threesome& my grandchildren ages 7 and 11
loved them so the clarinet is for Christmas. I even had fun with it...just remember to wipe the mouthpiece before passing it around. As a former band member in school, I loved this toy even if it COULD get on your nerves after a while !

This instrument is such a great idea. It functions much like a real instrument but it is fragile. My daughter dropped it the first day we had it and one of the buttons broke off and so now whenever she plays it that note constantly sounds. Make sure they are very careful with it.

This is a great product for the novice player. Helps them discover whether they have an interest or talent for music. The only problem I had was realizing this toy functions somewhat like a real instrument. It won't work unless you blow and press a key. May be a little difficult for a young child, otherwise this is a great toy. I purchased the sax, and two clarinets for my grandchildren.
