It's a little flimsy but has held up so far. I played the (real) trumpet when I was a kid and this has very much the same shape / feel. My three-year-old loves it so much he sleeps with it.

Hands down this is, has and continues to be the best gift for the buck ever. We got it for my 3yr old grandson who likes to imitate his Pop-pop playing the trumpet. The 4 valves allow you to play any bugle call you want. From previous reviews I was concerned that the keys might get broken but after 9 months of being played almost daily it is still in good shape. We got the Sax for his 5 yr old sister and it plays the scale and is in tune with a real piano. It's his favorite toy and all the kids want to try it.
