This toy makes my grandchildren belly laugh!!
The only "con" is, you can only use pennies- the hand doesn't seem to be able to grasp any other size coin.

I gave this to my 5yr old son and it has been one of his favorite toys! My 9 yr old daughter has been begging to get one too. how many toys encourage saving money!

I disagree with some of what the other reviewers have said however I have not had any problems with it working and I find the area for the batteries to be very well designed!

I also do not find it to be be flimsy. Yes it is an inexpensive plastic toy but gives a lot of bang for the buck.

We love how it shakes and shudders and then this creepy hand slowly reaches out and with lightning speed grabs the coin and takes it back into the box.

I am about to buy a few more to have on hand as gifts. Such great old fashioned fun!

We had to completely take this apart and reassemble it in order to get it to work properly. A curious child will wear out the batteries in no time. Yes, it is just like the one I had when I was a kid, and it comes in a cool box, but I wish I had invested in a more functional piggy bank.

I enjoyed the concept. It was difficult to get it open to put the batteries in. Then the hand didn't line up with the slot and I couldn't adjust it so the hand would put the coin into the slot. I sent it on to the great grand children for my grandson to get it to work correctly. I haven't heard if it was successfully adjusted or not.
